How Your Donations Help

All individual donations are used for running Rett’s Roost programs. Your financial support ensures that families can attend our retreats and community offerings for free. The more money we raise, the more families we can support with our essential programs.


Other Ways to Donate

We accept both cash and in-kind donations at Rett’s Roost. Please check out the many ways you can offer support. If you are thinking of an alternative way to giving besides a cash donation, please contact Deana Cavan at info@rettsroost.org.

Become a Sustaining Supporter – Whether it’s $2.22, $22, or $222 a month, having automatic donors will ensure that Rett’s Roost continues to grow. Sustaining donors can choose to make a recurring donation by filling out the form above and selecting “Monthly.”

Non-cash Assets – While cash donations are always helpful, there are other ways to accomplish your philanthropic goals by donating non-cash investment assets like publicly traded stocks and bonds. Donating investment assets avoids taxes due on their sale, permits a larger deduction for the donor and a larger gift to the charity. Rett’s Roost can be named a beneficiary of investment account types such as annuities, IRAs and life insurance. Contact us if you are interested in more information.

Employee Matching – Many employers sponsor matching gift programs and will match charitable contributions or volunteer hours made by their employees. If your company is eligible, request a matching gift form from your employer, and let us know to keep our eye out so that we can credit the corporate gift to you. One of our biggest corporate supporters is Liberty Mutual’s Give with Liberty Program, and we’ve also received donations from employees at Bank of America and Microsoft.

Sponsor a Family – Help us raise money for a specific family to attend one of our retreats. We host approximately 16 families at our family retreats and the cost to host them for 5 days/4 nights is approximately $3,500 per family. Contact us if you are interested. You will receive a photo and testimonial from the family after they participate at the retreat.

Create your own Fundraiser – It’s easy to create a fundraiser for Rett’s Roost on Facebook or Instagram (Here’s how). For our Superhero Family Fun Beach Run in June, our runners are helping us by crowdfunding. You can support our runners or start your own fundraiser here.

Participate in our Events – We currently host two in-person fundraisers each year, open to the public, The Superhero Family Fun Beach Run in June and the Ogunquit Home & Garden Tour in September. Join us at either event to help support Rett’s Roost.

Other ideas – Donate in memoriam of a loved one in lieu of flowers, instead of gifts at a kid’s birthday party ask parents to donate to Rett’s Roost, instead of favors at a wedding donate a dollar for each one of your guests. Above you can dedicate a gift to a child with cancer or someone you know that has recently passed away.
