Open to our Rett’s Roost families and anyone that loves to run or walk on the beach*
Superhero Costumes and Pride Flair are highly encouraged.
During the Ogunquit Chamber of Commerce-sponsored Pride Celebration weekend, on June 7th, Rett’s Roost is hosting a family-friendly fundraising run/walk on the beach to honor all our super-families that have faced childhood cancer bravely, who have had to be stronger than ever before, whose courage shines on and on.
To make sure that runners don’t have to trudge through the soft sand, we are selecting an event time of 10am-12pm to coincide with low tide. Free onsite parking will be offered to the first 30 cars to arrive. Carpooling is much appreciated! The race will begin at the Moody Point Beach Access. Runners will run or walk to the Norseman on Ogunquit Main Beach and back. Shorter kid sprints will take place at 10am with the main event starting at 10:30am.
Ages 4 and under: 50 Yard Dash, 10am
Ages 5-7: 100 Yard Dash, 10:10am
Ages 8-10: 200 Yard Dash, 10:15am
All ages: 2.5 Mile Run/Walk, 10:30am

All runners/walkers can purchase a race shirt with their registration. To guarantee a race shirt in your size, you must register by May 15th.
Crowdfund to Help us Raise $22,222
Register you and your family or friends and a fundraising page will be set up automatically for you that you can share with friends and family. If you raise the minimum of $222, your registration fee will be waived. The top three fundraisers will be selected to win a 2-night stay in downtown Ogunquit, a free family breakfast at The Omelette Factory, or a gift basket and gift card to Flips Shoe Shop. These prizes also come with free tickets to our Ogunquit Home and Garden Tour on September 19th!
Win a 2-night Stay in Ogunquit
On the weekend of September 18-20th, 2026, our top fundraiser will be awarded a free stay at this stylish coastal retreat centrally-located just two blocks from the heart of Ogunquit Village and a stone’s throw from Main Beach.
With four levels of light and bright living space, there is plenty of room for up to seven guests. An eat-in kitchen, finished lower level, and private fenced-in yard with charming Beacon Hill-style patio are just a few of the amenities you’ll enjoy! See more pictures here.
On the first floor, you’ll find a well-appointed eat-in kitchen with six chair dining table, sitting area, and full bathroom. Next, head downstairs to the lower level family room, complete with 70-inch television, brand new queen pop-up sleep sofa, and full-size washer/dryer. The landscaped private fenced-in backyard can be accessed from here, perfect for enjoying morning coffee or a cold beverage. Upstairs is where you’ll find the spacious primary bedroom with large closet and another full bathroom. Finally, head up to the fourth floor bedroom complete with full bed, two twin beds, and sitting area.
Guests will have access to the entire home, private fenced-in yard, and driveway, which can fit two vehicles.
