Our retreats offer a free, intimate weekend getaway for families affected by childhood cancer and child loss.
At Rett’s Roost, we hope to create a peaceful, joyful, empathetic space for families to relax and heal their hearts. We focus on mindful, positive living through healthy bodies & minds, loving communities, and spiritual openness (whatever that may be for you). We also specialize in making it all flexible, meaningful, and fun!
Our ‘Positively Healing’ retreats are for families that have a child surviving cancer with no evidence of or stable disease. These retreats are always a huge hit–full of happiness, relaxation, and deep connections.
Our ‘Open to Healing’ bereavement retreats are for families that have lost their child. We share strategies for grieving, while at the same time being sensitive to the fact that everyone’s process is different. Empathy is a word you would use to describe these retreats.
This year we are also offering ‘Grief is Love’ day retreats for parents that lost a child under 18 years old. These retreats were meant to be in person, for local bereaved parents, when we planned them in early 2020. However, with COVID-19 we have modified these into Online Grief Groups. They are working quite well as a way to participate in bereavement support from home.
We are also hosting ‘Individual Family Trips’ for both bereaved families and those with survivors, as an alternative to a retreat. Thanks to Duck Puddle Campground for sponsoring some of these. These trips are full for 2020.
Please contact us if you are interested in attending or know someone that is. Travel scholarships are available on a limited basis.
