DESCRIPTION:Superhero Family Fun Beach Run\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nA morning on the water to find your balance in nature.\n\n\n\nWe are adding to our SUP Yoga event this year by teaming up with Liquid Dreams. Now you can choose SUP Yoga or a Surf Lesson for you and your teens. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nRett’s Roost and Liquid Dreams invite you to join us on the morning of July 25th to take a SUP yoga lesson at Wells Harbor or a Surf lesson at Footbridge Beach in Ogunquit. We will meet at Liquid Dreams in Ogunquit and one group will go to SUP while the other goes to Surf. Then we’ll meet back there to have lunch at Hooks restaurant. \n\n\n\nCome connect with other parents and teens that have experienced childhood cancer and child loss. Let the water soothe your soul\, take some deep\, long breaths of salt air\, and feel your strength and confidence grow. This is a beautiful experience that you and your teen will not forget. DESCRIPTION:Superhero Family Fun Beach Run\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nOur favorite family-friendly fundraiser is back!\n\n\n\nOpen to our Rett’s Roost families and anyone that loves to run or walk on the beach*\n\n\n\n\n\nSIGN UP\n\n\n\nVOLUNTEER\n\n\n\nDONATE\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nSuperhero Costumes and Pride Flair are highly encouraged.\n\n\n\nDuring the Ogunquit Chamber of Commerce-sponsored Pride Celebration weekend\, on June 7th\, Rett’s Roost is hosting a family-friendly fundraising run/walk on the beach to honor all our super-families that have faced childhood cancer bravely\, who have had to be stronger than ever before\, whose courage shines on and on. \n\n\n\nTo make sure that runners don’t have to trudge through the soft sand\, we are selecting an event time of 10am-12pm to coincide with low tide. Free onsite parking will be offered to the first 30 cars to arrive. Carpooling is much appreciated! The race will begin at the Moody Point Beach Access. Runners will run or walk to the Norseman on Ogunquit Main Beach and back. Shorter kid sprints will take place at 10am with the main event starting at 10:30am. \n\n\n\nAges 4 and under: 50 Yard Dash\, 10amAges 5-7: 100 Yard Dash\, 10:10amAges 8-10: 200 Yard Dash\, 10:15amAll ages: 2.5 Mile Run/Walk\, 10:30am \n\n\n\nT-SHIRTS!\n\n\n\nAll runners/walkers can purchase a race shirt with their registration. To guarantee a race shirt in your size\, you must register by May 15th. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nCrowdfund to Help us Raise $22\,222\n\n\n\nRegister you and your family or friends and a fundraising page will be set up automatically for you that you can share with friends and family. If you raise the minimum of $222\, your registration fee will be waived. The top three fundraisers will be selected to win a 2-night stay in downtown Ogunquit\, a free family breakfast at The Omelette Factory\, or a gift basket and gift card to Flips Shoe Shop. These prizes also come with free tickets to our Ogunquit Home and Garden Tour on September 19th! \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nWin a 2-night Stay in Ogunquit\n\n\n\nOn the weekend of September 18-20th\, 2026\, our top fundraiser will be awarded a free stay at this stylish coastal retreat centrally-located just two blocks from the heart of Ogunquit Village and a stone’s throw from Main Beach.  \n\n\n\nWith four levels of light and bright living space\, there is plenty of room for up to seven guests. An eat-in kitchen\, finished lower level\, and private fenced-in yard with charming Beacon Hill-style patio are just a few of the amenities you’ll enjoy! Upstairs is where you’ll find the spacious primary bedroom with large closet and another full bathroom. SUMMARY:Winter Blues Bereavement Luncheon
DESCRIPTION:Now on February 8th\, due to the predicted snow storm on 1/25\, we’ll be gathering for our 4th annual Winter Blues Bereavement Luncheon back at the Union Bluff Meetinghouse in York\, ME (same place as last year) from 11am – 3pm. \n\n\n\nVolunteers will be on hand to lead children in activities. We’ll have music and crafts and a memorial table to our beloved children that have passed. After lunch\, if the weather is decent\, we’ll take a walk onto Short Sands Beach (optional to jump in the ocean with Deana and Leigh). \n\n\n\nHotel rooms are available at a discounted rate. \n\n\n\nThis event is free to all families who have lost a child to a life-threatening pediatric illness. DESCRIPTION:Fox Run Mall\, Newington\, NH\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nCome have a blast honoring mom with families in our cancer and child loss community.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nFor our spring social gathering this year\, we’ll be meeting at the mall for an afternoon of family fun with Sages Entertainment! Kids and dads have the option of visiting Let’s Move and Battlezone to get all their energy out\, while moms enjoy mocktails\, hand massages\, and making friends. Parents may also try Game Show Faceoff for some laughs and competition\, while Wayne and Kali from Sages offer face painting\, balloon figures\, and a life-sized dinosaur! \n\n\n\nLet’s Move is a a motion-controlled gaming arena that features a features touch Wall Games\, 4 gaming stations\, 40+ games\, 16′ Pixel LED Gaming Floor\, E-Bike Racing\, an iWall Sports Simulator\, and a blacklit silent disco dance floor. \n\n\n\nBattlezone is a 3\,500 square foot blacklight arena that will take your Gel Blaster and Nerf dart battle to the next level. Children (and parents) can sign up for a 30 minute session. \n\n\n\nWe’ll have delicious food and mocktails catered by Maeve’s Mobile Cocktail Hour and moms will get a chance to chill with other moms and learn how to exchange hand massages. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThis will be a super special family day for our Rett’s Roost community. SUMMARY:Friday Night Sea Dogs Game
DESCRIPTION:Join Rett’s Roost for a night with the Portland Sea Dogs–Free for Rett’s Roost families\, but everyone’s invited.  \n\n\n\nAs part of Childhood Cancer Awareness month\, the Sea Dogs are highlighting organizations in Maine that work with families who have experienced childhood cancer and loss.   \n\n\n\nThe game will take place Friday the 13th (!!!) at Hadlock Field in Portland\, ME at 6pm. Rett’s Roost will be stationed in one of the General Admission sections (all good seats there). \n\n\n\nWe’re excited to be recognized as the nonprofit of the day by the Sea Dogs as the match up against the Binghamton Rumble Ponies. The Sea Dogs are affiliated with the Boston Red Sox as their development team.
