Meet a friend that gets it.
For teens that want to talk to other teens about what it’s like to lose a brother or sister.
This free grief group will meet the first Wednesday of each month at 7pm EDT on Zoom (next Session is Jan 6th).
We encourage teens to bring a picture of their sibling, maybe one of them together, and an object of their sibling’s that they keep close. Each session they’ll be asked to share a positive memory about their sibling, and something hard that they faced, and any other aspects of their sibling’s story or their grief story that they want to share.
An adult facilitator will be present to keep things rolling with conversation starters and questions. At Rett’s Roost, we teach the concept of grief being love that has no where to go and how to nurture and honor our grief as something challenging and tranformative, but not entirely negative.
The last 10-15 minutes will be used for quick self-care tips, an art or journal exercise, or a short meditation/relaxation.
Please apply below, we prefer the teens apply themselves rather than a parent apply for them. Thank you!
